Microsoft, Corel (WordPerfect) and other old OEM Software

Please note: Most of the following is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) software. Generally speaking OEM software is intended for sale to system builders and others who plan to include the software with new or upgraded computer systems which they are selling or distributing. However, since the normal retail versions of many older programs are not available anymore we can offer this software to others by throwing in (at no additional cost to you) a small surplus piece of AS IS computer hardware. We also have a few retail software items listed here (primarily in our MS Dos 6.22 and WordPerfect sections below) which are exempt from this requirement.

The OEM versions are the same programs as the retail versions but are in streamlined packaging (as would be expected) in order to minimize distribution costs and to make it easier for system builders, retailers and upgraders to package such software with new or upgraded hardware.

If you want to purchase OEM software from us for your own use please let us know if you call us to order or mention that you are the end users in the "shipping comments" section of our order form if ordering online or by fax and we will throw in some small surplus hardware at no extra cost to you. If you are purchasing the software to include with your own hardware which you are distributing to some other person or organization then let us know so we won't need to include anything with your shipment.

To guarantee authenticity we closely inspect all product. We have been trained by one of the most knowledgeable former Microsoft anti-piracy representatives in the nation. We value our 28 year old reputation and want to maintain this reputation by selling only legitimate software in a legitimate manner. We publicly denounce those who counterfeit or deal in "black market" software.

We often don't have the newest OEM versions. Most of the OEM software which we have are slightly old versions or very old versions. Periodically we do get in some of the newer OEM software but we specialize in the older versions primarily.

IBM PC Dos 6.1 on 5.25" disks

 Authentic IBM PC Dos 6.1 on 5.25" 1.2 mb high density disks. Originally distributed under license to AUVA Autocomputer, LTD. New unopened OEM package. Includes manual, registration card, 5 1/4" disks and AUVA license agreement. It is our understanding (from what we have found by doing Internet searches) that Microsoft actually developed IBM PC Dos based on its MS Dos operating system. We believe that they both share a high degree of compatibility with each other. The PC Dos 6.1 packages which we have are copyrighted 1993 and most of the MS Dos 6.22 packages which we have are copyrighted 1994 so we think that there are probably only minor differences between the two. MS Dos 7 MS Dos 7 is actually embedded in Windows 95. (See above prices for Windows 95.) There is actually a way to have MS Dos 7 (from Windows 95) come up by itself on your computer without actually having Windows 95 launch. There are websites on the internet which tell you how to do this. If you use a major search engine you should be able to find them. We offer Windows 95 above at good prices for those who want to try this. Windows 95 license (listed above) may be valuable for those seeking late version MS Dos licenses.
